| This watercolor was painted over the course of two quiet afternoons on the banks of the Weeki Wachee River at the house where we stayed on a recent vacation. The Weeki Wachee River flows from a spring that is so clear it gives one the feeling of floating over space rather than water. Only seven miles long, the clear river meanders through thickets lined with bald cypress and other semi-tropical trees as it flows to the Gulf of Mexico with a strong current of six miles per hour. |
