On our first evening making dinner at the house in Les Gardiols, Shirley created a wonderful centerpiece with all the things so evocative of Provence: rosemary and lavender sprigs with jasmine flowers from our garden, eggplants, apricots, peaches, a Cavaillon melon from the market, an elegant table setting with typical linens, and one perfect rose in a cup with a glass of wine. What better to express the perfumed essence of this enchanting part of France? |
