Florida River Painting

This was painted on a chilly January morning in Florida, looking up the Weeki Wachee River from the back yard of the house where we stayed on our vacation. A young red-shouldered hawk perched on a branch across the river watched me paint as he tried to warm up in the sun. It was so quiet one could hear only the bubbling of the river and the cries of birds.
