| I was walking around Brookside gardens, looking to paint something that captured the fall season, when I came across this lovely display of purple asters. These reminded me of a variety my mother used to grow in her garden in Falls Church. The small flowers seemed like dancing fairies perched on the branches. The changing colors of the trees in the background are barely suggested. |
