| This oil was painted in my studio from photographs and my watercolor painting done on site. It was produced for Pingree Park's collection as part of my residency program there. I think it captures well the dramatic weather of that fall afternoon high up in the mountains, when it was sunny one moment and raining the next only to clear up again, and the magnificent burnt trunks with young new trees below framed the timeless cycle of life. |
