As a recreational scuba diver, I love to observe and photograph the reflections of objects below on the surface of the water. This upside-down view of the “normal” reflections we see on the surface of water gives an other-worldly feeling, as if looking at the horizon on an alien planet. This image, like others of my underwater paintings, was inspired by the work of David Doubilet, my favorite National Geographic photographer (in my next life, I want to be reincarnated as Doubilet’s assistant).
