| The beach at privately owned Camp Matoaka on Maryland's western shore is the only other place where steep cliffs with the same geological formations as those in Calvert Cliffs state park can be found. Abounding with fossils from the St. Mary's formations, being on the beach gives one the feeling of having stepped back in time. |
